The Palace Pier is an energy efficient building. It has a state of the art integrated Building Automation System that controls heating, cooling and make up ventilation, to maximize the comfort of residents. The building has new environmentally friendly energy efficient air conditioning chillers and ultra high efficiency boilers which together can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 961 tonnes annually.
Comfort is not compromised at The Palace Pier and cooling during the winter months is available for its residents on a warm and sunny winter day provided economically without the necessity of running the air conditioning chillers.
All this comfort is included in the common element fees.
The building's state of the art technology is featured in the Direct Energy Centre - energy Innovations Display located at Exhibition Place. The Palace Pier, it says is: "Elegantly Efficient".
